Chief Technical Officer

Jason is an experienced entrepreneur & software developer with a demonstrated history of working with agile teams. Skilled in leadership, mobile development, data synchronization, and SaaS architecture, he's never shied away from difficult problems. Jason obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Arkansas State University but he traces his passion for development back many years before then, having first taught himself to program BASIC on his family's computer while still in middle school. When he's not mentoring and helping his team at work, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and living in the Tulsa, Oklahoma region.

Sales Director

Alex Ortiz is our Sales Director. He helps Customer Success and Learning & Development leaders solve their training challenges with Hickory. He has a lifelong fascination with learning and technology and loves driving rapid growth at startups. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from the University of Miami.

Senior Instructional Designer/Account Manager

Nicole Marks has been with Hickory since October 2018 as the Senior Instructional Designer/Account Manager. Based in Boston, Nicole works with our customers around the world. She aims to provide them with personalized care, valuing all feedback and engagement she has with our Hickory partners. As an instructional designer, Nicole also helps create innovative and engaging learning, providing users with the tools for success. When not working to help make Hickory the very best it can be for our customers, Nicole is also a musician and avid knitter.
